Dear Team,
Hope you and your family are doing well.
Amid industry headwinds—from fierce global competition to shifting market dynamics—we see both challenges and opportunities. While external pressures have tested our resilience, we are already spotting early signs of recovery. We are making the right moves: optimizing costs, investing where it matters, and positioning ourselves to capture demand as it emerges.
Our vision is clear: to be among the world’s top 10 global mobility ER&D services companies by 2030. We focus on OEMs and Tier-1 Suppliers across the Americas, EMEA, India, and APAC, serving the Automotive, Defence, Off-Highway, and Aerospace (eVTOL) sectors. We deliver end-to-end engineering—from Powertrain and Body Engineering to Virtual Validation, Costing & Sourcing, Vehicle Integration, Electronics, and Digital—combining deep technical expertise in the front-end overlayed by globally distributed best cost country leveraged engineering, offering a compelling Time, Quality and Cost proposition.
In recent years, we’ve strengthened our offerings, expanded globally, and are integrating DSD and TECOSIM. As we enter our next transformation phase, we’re aligning our structure with strategic priorities—moving to an integrated business unit model with end-to-end accountability from strategy to cash.
Effective immediately, we move to two integrated Business Units (BU):
- Vehicle Engineering & Development (VED): Includes Body Engineering, Virtual Validation, Costing & Sourcing, Vehicle Integration, Embedded Electronics and Digital Offerings – Led by Md Faiz Ahmad reporting directly to me
- Propulsion Systems & Electronics (PSE): Includes Powertrain and related Electronics hardware & Software – Led by Mark Findlay reporting directly to me
Both leaders bring deep expertise and a proven track record. Faiz will drive scale and operational rigor in VED BU, while Mark will lead technology-driven consultative sales in PSE BU.
Offerings:
Dr. Vasudevan M, who leads Embedded Electronics Offering (EE), and reports to Faiz currently, will now additionally report to Mark for all things Powertrain.
Controls Software resides in Powertrain as well as Vehicle Integration (VI) teams. This is to clarify that VI team will focus on vehicle level supervisory controls across all systems while Powertrain will continue to focus on powertrain controls.
Sales:
Dermott Carr, who leads Americas sales for VED, will now report to Faiz. Mark Paul, who leads Americas sales for PSE, will continue to report into Mark Findlay’s team.
Stuart Hawker, who leads the UK sales and delivery, Torben Birker, who leads Germany sales and delivery for VED and Zeeshan Sami who leads identified accounts in EMEA, will now report directly to Faiz. Richard Dunn, who leads EMEA sales for PSE, will continue to remain a part of Mark Findlay’s team.
Sanjay Patil will continue to lead India sales for both VED and PSE, reporting to Faiz with a dotted line to Mark Findlay via Lee Sykes.
Lee Sykes will continue to lead APAC sales for both VED and PSE, reporting to Mark Findlay with a dotted line to Faiz.
OneHT:
We have come some ways in getting our people across HT, DSD and TECOSIM brands to work together, we have been able to demonstrate a compelling value proposition of global delivery model to a few of our key customers like Stellantis, Borg Warner and Aston Martin. We need to expand on this further with others. Similarly, we need to install integrated enabling functions that are globally leveraged and are able to offer better service and better compliance for our people & businesses in a cost optimised manner.
Enabling Functions:
Shankar V, who has led EMEA for VED and Global Marketing and Communications to date, will now assume responsibility for Quality & Information Security, Strategy and M&A, in addition to Global Marketing and Communications role. He will also continue to lead integration of DSD working closely with Mark Findlay. Shankar will report directly to me.
Arpit Mundra, who led Strategy and M&A successfully over the last 8 years making significant contribution to the organisation, has decided to pursue his career outside of HT. My sincere thanks to Arpit for all that he has done and best wishes for his future endeavours.
Intending to standardise and optimise the IT infrastructure and business systems across the Hinduja Tech group, we are consolidating IT and Information Systems under Mark Findlay.
Finance and HR will continue to be led by Raghu Parthasarathy and Antony Praveen respectively reporting directly to me.
Reporting directly to me, Udo Jankowski continues to drive special projects, including TECOSIM integration.
All the Business Units and Enabling Functions will have global responsibility across the Hinduja Tech group and will publish their respective organisations and mandates shortly. We intend to have OneHT fully implemented over the next 6-9 months.
