Dear Colleagues,
Artificial Intelligence is reshaping our industry at a pace none of us can ignore. For Hinduja Tech, AI is not an experiment or a side initiative, it is a strategic lever that will strengthen our engineering excellence, improve our delivery performance, and sharpen our competitive edge.
Over the past several months, we have been actively examining how AI can be applied across our organisation, from internal productivity improvements to engineering acceleration and differentiated customer offerings. Multiple discussions, working sessions, and exploratory initiatives have helped us clarify both the opportunity and the responsibility we carry to act decisively.
We have already taken important initial steps:
- We are transitioning our cross-functional AI Working Group into an AI Governance Board to oversee the establishment and operation of an AI Centre of Excellence (CoE). The AI CoE will drive our accelerated AI journey and will include ML Ops, AI Implementation Leads, and AI Champions.
- We have put in place AI usage policies and the necessary IT security infrastructure to ensure safe use of AI within our business.
- We have developed a strong AI plan that also includes targeted pilot studies to build our own on-premises AI capabilities – the first pilot study has already been completed.
- Keep an eye out for further information from the AI Governance Board.
Together, these steps provide a solid foundation to move from exploration to structured execution.
Our ambition is simple:
Use AI to amplify our engineering capabilities, accelerate customer outcomes, and improve how we work every day.
To translate this into action, we will focus on three parallel workstreams:
First, we will move quickly to deploy commercially available AI tools that enhance productivity across delivery, sales, and enabling functions. Where proven tools exist, we will adopt them rapidly. We will not spend time building what is already available in the market. The objective is clear: reduce administrative burden, improve efficiency, and free up capacity for higher-value work.
Second, we will evaluate AI-enabled engineering tools that can accelerate our design, development, and validation processes. Speed and quality in engineering delivery will remain central to our differentiation.
Third, and most strategically, we will identify high-impact, customer-focused use cases in which AI can create meaningful competitive advantage, including cycle-time reduction, deeper insight generation, and enhanced engineering value. These initiatives will follow disciplined feasibility assessment, clear architectural choices, and structured investment decisions to ensure we build with purpose and scale with confidence.
This journey will progress in deliberate phases, identifying and prioritising use cases, defining the right architecture and roadmap, and then building and scaling with execution discipline. We will approach this with the same rigour we apply to our customer programs.
To ensure accountability and pace:
- David Kelly will lead the overall AI program, with direct reporting to me.
- Mads Nielsen will provide technical and architectural direction, reporting to David.
- Our offering and functional leaders will actively sponsor and support execution.
- A cross-functional steering structure will ensure prioritisation, transparency, and delivery discipline.
This governance model reflects the importance of the initiative. AI is a strategic priority and will receive direct CEO oversight.
This is a global effort. We will leverage our strong engineering and technology capabilities across regions, including significant execution strength in India, while ensuring collaboration across VED, PSE, and our enabling functions. Our mandate is to move fast where solutions exist, invest wisely where differentiation matters, and deliver measurable business impact, not experimentation without outcomes.
Equally important is communication and engagement. You will see greater visibility on milestones, tool rollouts, and progress. AI must not remain a topic of discussion; it must become embedded in how we operate.
Let me be clear: AI will not replace our engineering expertise. It will amplify it.
The companies that win in the coming years will be those that combine deep domain capability with intelligent adoption of AI. We intend to be one of them, and we will move with urgency and discipline to get there.
I look forward to your active participation as we accelerate this journey together.
Best Regards,
Kumar Prabhas
CEO, Hinduja Tech
